Asian Salad Dressing

Notes
Canola oil. Or any neutral oil, like grapeseed oil.
Rice vinegar. Rice vinegar and rice wine vinegar are the same thing.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons canola oil (see note 1)
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar (see note 2)
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce (see note 3)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated (see note 4)
- 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- Hoisin sauce substitute:
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave nectar
- 2 teaspoons distilled white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
