• Lots of chopped cilantro
  • ½ jalapeno, sliced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, grated
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp extra-light olive old or other cooking oil
  • Sushi-grade tuna
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • Salt and pepper

Combine cilantro, jalapeño, ginger, garlic, lime juice, soy sauce, sugar, salt, pepper, and 2 Tbsp of olive oil in bowl and mix well.

Heat a heavy skillet slowly and once the skillet is fully heated, turn up heat to high.

Add 2 Tbsp of extra-light olive oil and coat for searing.

Season tuna with salt and pepper and grilled quickly - about one minute per side. You can hold the tuna on its edge with tongs to get the sides.

Turn off the heat and pour ½ of the sauce mix onto the tuna and turn a few times to cover the tuna.

Plate the tuna with the avocado and pour the remaining sauce over the tuna and avocado.
