- 2 oz bread, fresh or stale, cubed
- 3 oz whole milk
- 6 - 12 sprigs fresh flat-leaf parsley, leaves only
- 1 garlic clove (optional)
- 16 oz ground beef, crumbled
- 2 eggs
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- oil, to grease
- Tomato Sauce
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 - 3 oz yellow onions, halved
- 1 oz extra virgin olive oil
- 30 oz canned crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
